The House

This is the house from the back...a front view will come at a later time...

Phillip and I have been blessed with a house. We will be living in his Granny's house for the next year to 2 years; however the Lord sees fit. We have been given the opportunity to "fix it up", which is very exciting. We are in the beginnings of cleaning out, painting, and just plain ole cleaning so that hopefully we can get moved in at the beginning of next week! (Say a prayer for us!) I am going to post some of the beginning pictures and hopefully we will see a lot of "good" changes over the next couple years... enjoy!
This is the laundry "room". This will be one of the first things the family wants changed. Currently it is under the house in a cellar type setting and we are wanting to move it upstairs, maybe to the master bath. We shall see!
Guest room #1 (#2 is not available yet). This room will be super cute with just a coat of paint and some fixins.
This is Nate claiming his bed!
Nickie standing in the master bedroom. This bedroom is a wonderful size, very spacey! We are going to need to patch a few places in the walls and doctor up the floors (just a little, they aren't horrible), and of course paint!
Master bath... we are going to have to pull up the carpet and put down some new floor, eventually we'd like to replace the toilet and maybe the shower but it depends on what we can do. We'd also like to get the tile off the wall and either replace or paint.
The kitchen~
We are hoping to replace the floors, and eventually the counter tops and back splash. It's a very cozy and roomy kitchen with a ton of potential!
Another view of the kitchen
The green stove...I actually like this piece, and think it could look super cute with the right colors used. I don't know call me crazy! :)

Dollywood!

Waiting on the tram for lunch
Phillip and I decided to put our season passes to good use! So we took off Saturday morning with Nickie and her family to Dollywood! We had a wonderful (VERY HOT) day! We left out about 8:30 in Phillip's mom's van. We arrived at Dollywood about 2 hours later. We went in the park, rented a stroller, and got the Q2Q pass (which I strongly recommend). Phillip got to enjoy all of the coasters with Dustin and Nate. While Nickie and I hung out with Hunter. We had lunch in the parking lot...saving money! :) Then headed back in until the park closed. After that we decided Japanese would be good, so we went there for dinner! Now we are home and recuperating! Enjoy some of the pictures....

Nickie and the family at the overlook (pictures here are a tradition).

Nickie caught this shot.

We went to this animal show...it was very cute!

Cherokee!

We got up VERY early and headed out for the service at the campground. It's an hour and 15 minute drive that we actually love to take! The people at the campground are beyond nice. They all give their all and enjoy working for the Lord. It's wonderful to see. We have been traveling to this campground for the past 4 years, at least. In fact on our first trip we were mistaken for a another couple that was married and expecting....that was when we were just beginning our friendship...so we corrected them and laughed with them. We got there and found out they had planned a lunch/drop-in for us after the service which was very sweet and unexpected!

With our cake! IT WAS YUMMY!

AND BEAUTIFUL!

Back to the Beach

After we had been home for a week we headed out to North Myrtle with Phillip's parents and brothers. We left on Sunday morning, July 5th, and stayed through the next Saturday. We had fun playing at the ocean, swimming, and of course fishing! Phillip's aunt and her family also were in Myrtle through Thursday, so we spent some time with them.

One night Phillip and I took all of the "children" to play putt-putt and I made dinner. This gave the adults a great date night and break! :)

We were re payed one night when we got to go out by ourselves for dinner and ice cream! It was a wonderful trip! The weather throughout the week was nice! I have never been to Myrtle in July and had a breeze and cooler weather! It did rain on us one day, but we went to the ocean anyway and Phillip searched for sharks' teeth while I made things with sand. (I don't think I have truly grown up!) :)

One of my masterpieces! :)

Phillip and I at Barefoot Landing

We headed home on Saturday and prepared to be at a Campground in Cherokee on Sunday, where Phillip was to preach!
