Fort Moultrie and our ride home!

On our way out of Charleston we had to pass by Fort Moultrie. It was great weekend to go because they were having Carolina Day. It was the anniversary of a revolutionary war victory that took place there. They had men showing the weapons and firing the weapons and they had other people there who represented other aspects of life during that time. We walked around and checked out the Fort after watching a gun and cannon demonstration! Then on our way home we drove through IOP to see what it was like. After that we made our 4 hour journey home...already talking about wanting to go back! It was a great week spent with a wonderful husband! :)

After lunch we walked through the market. Then my future cousin-in-law called and told us about a wonderful candy store at the end that sold FANTABULOUS pralines! So of course we had to visit there! After I had purchased some pralines and Phillip had some homemade ice cream, we headed back up through the market. We then got in our car and hit some of the major places in Charleston and of course took som photos! :)

He loved the cannons!

See! :)

They had the BIG BOATS in that weekend!

Lunch on Sunday!

We woke up Sunday, checked out of our hotel, and headed out on the town. After a while we decided to go to Bubba Gumps for lunch. Bubba Gumps was the only place I had ever been in Charleston and Phillip wanted to go so we walked there for lunch... it was yummy! :)

Trying to decide what to eat!

The table says it all!

I still look asleep! :)

Charleston!

We arrived in Charleston about 3:00. We checked into our room and unloaded our things. Then we went for a little walk before dinner! We basically stayed close by, because again it was very hot!

When we got back it was time to get ready for dinner. We were lucky enough to meet my cousin Zack and his (now) fiance' Kristy at Hyman's Seafood. The company was great and so was the eatin'!

When we finished eating we got homemade ice cream and headed back for the night! We were headed home in the morning!

From Fripp to Charleston!

We left Fripp about 10:00 on Saturday and headed out toward Chaleston. On the way we stopped at Hunter's Island and checked out the lighthouse. It was a great trip but way too hot! So, we stayed and got a few pictures then hit the road and continued our trip to Charleston!

This was when were looking for the lighthouse!

Let the Honeymoon Begin

Phillip and I watching the sun set!

We set off for Fripp Island after the wedding. We both wanted a relaxing honeymoon that wouldn't be too far away... Fripp definately served that purpose! It's beautiful and very relaxing! We saw deer, alligators, birds, sharks, and a ton of other wildlife. We fished, everyday, and played golf one day (well Phillip played golf, I drove the cart)! It truly was an amazing time on the island.

We arrived there Saturday night and stayed through the next Saturday! Of course while we were there it was the time of the year for a freak high tide. So on that Wednesday we ate on the island and when we came out of the Boathouse we had to take our shoes off to get to the car. The water was litterally ankle deep throughout the parking lot. It really was a gret experience...and I can't wait to go back! :)

Below are some of the pictures we took at Fripp! Enjoy!

The Wedding

(On the way to the ceremony)

Our wedding was a very small and simple outdoor ceremony. We were married on June 20th at 2:00 at the house of some family friends. It was everything I have ever imagined...

(Claire, Delaney, Savannah, and Hunter.)

Gorgeous weather, beautiful flowers, and friends and family that supported us 100%. We had 7 attendants on both sides, 3 flower girls (who were incredibly cute), and 3 equally as cute ring bearers. My father and grandfather performed the ceremony. Our reception was a small dessert reception that was put together by my family. They will never know how much they helped create a day I will never forget!
