This year, being my first Christmas with a house, I had very FEW decorations! So one day in November my Mamaw came over with some tubs of Christmas stuff and helped me decorate my house! I am including a couple pics on here with the intent to add more! :)

Thanksgiving
This year Thanksgiving was a little different! We had our meal at mom's with just the immediate family and then we met Mamaw, Papaw, and Miriam for dessert. It was kinda sad that we didn't have Thanksgiving with everyone like we have in the past, but it was some good food and fun!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
Well this week was Phillip's Fall Break. So, he got the opportunity to spend a few days hunting, with his father, and Uncle Mike's cabin! (AND he loved it!) When he got back on Thursday Nickie and the boys met us at mom's house and we helped them carve pumpkins! It was fun. Phillip helped the boys cut the tops off and clean out the guts...which they loved! Then we took the pumpkins in and while Hunter ran around shooting everyone, with his fingers (practicing to be an army man for Halloween) Nate and Phillip began carving the pumpkins...or poking the holes from the design they were using. When that was finished Phillip carved the monster pumpkin while Nate was still working on his BOO pumpkin. Then the boys eventually went to play games while we finished the pumpkins! :) They turned out super cute...

Judy's wedding and Uncle Mike's Cabin
On September the 19th my aunt Judy was getting married in Virginia. So we set out Saturday morning with Papaw, Mamaw, and Miriam. We rode up to Va and picked up Jessica then headed to Uncle Mike's house. At his house we changed clothes and grabbed a bite to eat...because when you travel that's all you do. :) After that we headed to the wedding. It was held on the groom's brother's farm. Gorgeous! We got to see lots of family and friends. It was a great event. When we left there Uncle Mike wanted all the family to stop back by his place for supper (steak, chicken, and sausage). So we did. We ate a very good meal and then Uncle Mike showed Phillip the cabin and land that goes with it. Needless to say, after seeing the many deer and all the "hunting" land Phillip was in heaven and ready to go back! :) It was a wonderful trip and gave us a great opportunity to see everyone!

Weekend in Jacksonville, NC
We headed out on Friday morning about 7:30 for Jacksonville, NC. We went by Hardees, the gas station and we were on our way...or so we thought. We had been driving about 25 mins and Phillip said the car is smoking. So we pulled over on a very busy I-26. We let the car cool while he and Dennis tried to act like they knew something about cars. :) The we made it to the next exit and parked in an Ingles parking lot. While were waiting we enjoyed the many things from the gas station and hanging out! :) We finally got back on the road about 10:30 in Wendy and Doug's mini-van and made it to the place about 5:30...just in time for the rehearsal dinner. We enjoyed our time down there for Mickey and Heather's wedding. We got back about 2:30 and got up Sunday at 7:00 to head to Cherokee...it was a very eventful and tiring weekend! :)
